Trekking between the Bereber villages from North to South of High Atlas

Marrakech: the Red City of Morocco
Welcome to Marrakech. Our private transfer will bringh us up from the airport to our city center hotel.
After lunch accompanied by a local guide we will discover the beauty of the imperial palaces, the Vesir gardens, the public oven and the Koran school in the Berber capital. We end our visit at the Suk market in Marrakech to admire the artisan works in wood, iron, leather and carpet using traditional techniques. We return to the hotel and after dinner we take a walk through the colorful and lively central square of the city Jemaa el Fna to fully experience the magical atmosphere that remains in this place since past centuries.

Ouzoud Falls
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off in a private vehicle to the Ouzoud waterfalls, the most spectacular in Morocco and the largest in North Africa. After about 3 hours we arrive at the place to admire this wonderful natural phenomenon.
After lunch we will visit a small Berber village of Arous, where for dinner our hosts will prepare delicious dishes with old traditional recieps. Accommodation in comfortable lodges.

Trekking Tarkeddit pass
After a good breakfast to fill us full of energy, we enter the valley towards the Tarkaddit pass (3300m) crossing with herds of sheep and goats on our way. Arriving at Tarkaddit we enjoy the wonderful panorama to M’goun (4,068m) and the other peaks that surround us, all exceeding 3,500m.
We go down to the terrace of Tarkaddit to bivouac in tents near a stream surrounded by immense green grass reminiscent of the landscapes that can be found in Mongolia. Dinner included.

Trekking peak M’goun
Today we will crown the M’goun peak (4068m), the second highest in Mount Atlas.
We leave early in the morning and around noon we will be at the summit for a short break and enjoy the magical views. We quickly descend through the stones that cover the northeast slope along the way until the afternoon we reach the place planned for tonight’s bivouac. Dinner and night in tents.

Trekking until Waouchki
Today’s stage will be more relaxed. We descend through a spectacular valley whose river we will have to cross several times until we reach the village of Waouchki where our Berber hosts will wait for us with some dishes of recipes inherited from their ancestors for dinner and overnight at their home. -

Trekking until Aquerzaka village
A descent full of adventure awaits us among beautiful nature.
We walk along the Asif M’Goun river canyon whose waters we have to cross many times until we reach the little town of Aguerzaka. Tonight we stay again in a local house for dinner and get closer to the culture of the people of these lands."

The Sahara desert
Last day of trekking in this magnificent land.
After about 4-5 hours of walking, we arrive at the small village of Bou Taghrar where our minivan will wait us to start the road to the desert. The trip takes about 3-4 hours until we arrive at our hotel located at the beguinning of the Sahara desert. Before dinner we will enjoy a walk through the dunes taking advantage of the drop in temperatures at sunset. Dinner and accommodation.

Ouarzazate, "The door of the desert"
We cross Alnif e Risani with our minivan to reach Ouarzazate in the afternoon. We settle in one of their hotels and go out to visit the famous Kasbah of the city and the Old Quarter. Dinner and hotel accommodation. -

Return to Marrakech enjoying the wonderful views towards the High Atlas.
Crossing the High Atlas, this time in our minivan, we headed towards Marrakech and around noon we arrived in the city. Accommodation and free time to enjoy the unique atmosphere that the place offers us. \n\nIn the evening we will meet at the hotel for dinner. -

Back home
In the morning we transfer to the airport to board the plane back home.
